ABOUT JORDAN CLARKSON

NO DREAM IS TOO BIG TO ACHIEVE.

Jordan Clarkson spent his early years growing up in San Antonio, Texas dreaming of one day playing in the NBA like millions of other kids. But unlike many, he committed to doing things geared toward reaching the lofty goals he set for himself. Becoming a successful student, avoiding temptations, and making sacrifices improved his chances at future success. Upon entering high school, he helped catapult Wagner High School into a statewide basketball powerhouse and led them to consecutive state "final four" appearances in 2009 and 2010. After being named a two-time "All-State" player and San Antonio "Player of the Year," he proceeded to the next level earning a Division I scholarship to attend the University of Tulsa. He spent the next two years earning Conference USA All-Freshman Team honors followed by a Conference USA First-Team selection as a sophomore. However, Jordan yearned to play at the elite programs and transferred to the University of Missouri. After sitting out his transfer year, he returned to the court like a hurricane and quickly became a national sensation and a 2014 NBA Draft prospect. During this season, he led the Tigers to a national ranking, garnered several consecutive Southeastern Conference (SEC) "Player of the Week" honors and became one of the top players in the NCAA.

At the conclusion of his junior season, he opted to enter the 2014 NBA Draft. He was the 46th pick in the second round by the Los Angeles Lakers via the Washington Wizards. Under the watchful eye of future NBA Hall of Famers, Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash, he has excelled and opened eyes around NBA circles like no second-rounder ever has being named a 2015 "Top Ten" NBA rookie. By mid-season, Jordan earned his first career NBA start versus his hometown NBA Champions, San Antonio Spurs, on January 23, 2015. After a solid performance against his childhood heroes, he remains a starter and his NBA future is bright.

After a stellar sophomore season, starting all 79 games that he played in and averaging 14.0 PPG, 3.7 RPG, and 2.9 APG, Jordan signed a four year contract to remain with the Los Angeles Lakers through 2020.
